From December 2001 to April 2002 there was an Alfa Romeo exhibition at the
London Science Museum. With seventeen cars with a total value of over £5 million and a large selection of drawings,
designs, documents, advertisements and engines it was well worth a visit. |
|
The cars ranged from the 1930 Mille Miglia winning 6C1750 Gran Sport, through the 1951 Formula One World Championship winning 159 to the 2001 European Super Touring Championship winning 156.
Production cars included such famous designs as an original Duetto Spider, a 1900 Super
Sprint by Touring, a Giulietta Spider and one of the most beautiful cars in the display, the 6C2500 SS Villa d'Este. |
|
All around the space there were displayed many technical drawings, original design sketches, period advetisements as well as hand made models from the Alfa Romeo styling centre. All the cars were from the official Alfa Romeo museum at Milan.
