At the Turin Motorshow in April 1994 Lancia launched it's first ever people carrier or MPV. A joint venture with Fiat (Ulysse) and Peuget/Citroen (and built in a factory in France), the Lancia version was aimed at a more luxurious market as befits the Lancia name. A high level of trim and equipment was standard, including ABS, and electric everything. Standard seating was for five, with up to seven avalable as options - accessed through large sliding doors on the sides.
It is powered by a 1998cc turbocharged engine, a 16V version without the turbo or a turbodiesel, a 1997cc JTD unit.
The all new replacement for the Zeta, the Phedra, was released at the 2002 Geneva Motorshow.
